I have felt pretty good lately! I still get the “bubbles” every morning and every night. This is not to be confused with “bubbles” in the bath that I get every other night. I can keep them straight, though, so don’t worry. Even though I do like to put the bubbles in bath on my chin like a beard (I do this to Momma too, then I laugh and giggle), and then I like to put them in my mouth. Momma does not laugh or giggle when I do this, but I still do it anyway.
On Monday (May 4), Daddy went back to work. He is recuperating well. I think it is because he did a good job of not doing too much except for walking. When he was off work, he walked almost 80 miles! There are people who don’t walk that much and they never had surgery. Daddy met many people in the neighborhood and they got to watch his recovery as he made his daily walks. That must have been pretty neat to see him make progress everyday. Sometimes I hear Daddy and Momma talk about how neat it is to watch my growth everyday too. I wonder if it was the same idea. I guess that would be the “real” world, huh. Now he even picks me up sometimes. He does not use his grabber as much anymore, but still uses it to play ball with me
This week was also full of surprises. On Tuesday night, Momma had her once-a-month church meeting. This night, Miss Tiffany, my teacher from Infant C came over to play with me! Wow, what a lucky girl I am! On Wednesday you will never guess what happened. Grandma and Papa picked me up from school! You know how much I love Grandma and Papa. They missed me so much that they had to come to visit in the middle of the week. Daddy had a work dinner so I hung out with them and Momma then got my bath (and bubbles, of course).
On Thursday, it got even better because I did not go to school but stayed at home and played with Grandma and Papa all day. Well, not all day. After my 3 hour nap and minor mishap with my diaper (we don’t need to go into details but just know that there was an issue with my pants and my diaper and me handing Grandma poopy that fell on the floor), I went to get my picture taken. It may seem surprising since I love people and being the center of attention, I was not very happy about this photo shoot. They did get a few good poses though, and Momma and Daddy met us at JCPenney’s to pick out a few good pictures. Momma does not take the time to get my picture taken like this so she really appreciates Grandma and Papa taking me (even when I don’t want to pose).
Grandma let me put some make-up on. She put a little blush and lipstick on. I ran over to Momma to show her by putting my head down. I said “make-up on” and she understood what I meant too. Momma has told me that this is a special thing for just me and Grandma but I think I want to put on this stuff more often.
The next morning (Friday), life was kinda back to normal. I woke up with the birds, who are very loud and start talking outside my window just after 6 am (no, I actually do not know the time, but in this is one of the things that Momma helps fill-in for me). I have been saying “Momma” starting at 6:45 or so (again, Momma helps with the exact time). On Friday morning, Grandma and Papa came to get me and I got to spend some time with them before I went to school. I was sad to see them go, but we really made the most out of the time we had. Momma and I believe that life happens in every single minute so you better enjoy them one at a time to make the most of the minutes we have.
