Summer Vacation #2

July came and went pretty quickly, because before you knew it, we were headed on vacation again. This time, though, the three of us were not going to be together. This was Abigail’s special vacation and Daddy’s surprise 40th birthday trip that he has been talking about since his last birthday (in December). On Saturday, July 25, we packed up the car (actually, you know Mommy well enough now to know that all of the necessities were staged weeks before the trip and the car had been packed the night before) and headed to Toledo. Daddy drove his old car and Mommy and I drove in the van (which I now call “Abigail’s new car” as well). Daddy drove his old car because we sold that car to Daddy’s aunt, it worked well for everyone involved! Anyway, it seemed like a normal trip to see GrandmaPapa to me. We arrived, had some lunch and as MommyDaddy walked out the door, I stuck up my hand and said “bye!” They had to pull me away from Papa to get a hug and a kiss before they left.

This is the point where our separate adventures begin. Trekker (remember him, he is the one who travels with Mommy and tells me about all of her travels) will give us all of the details about MommyDaddy’s trip. I will give you the account of my vacation with GrandmaPapa.
