About Me

My name is Abigail Elizabeth Connor, otherwise known as "Little Miss Sunshine." I was born on July 10, 2007 at 1:42 pm. December 23, 2009

I did not know that Monday would be my last day of school for the year! Tuesday, Mommy and I finished the Christmas shopping and wrapped presents. That afternoon, JJ came over and the three of us when to the zoo! This time, they told me we were going to see the lights, so I was not so disappointed about the lack of animals. It was pretty chilly, but we did walk the entire zoo, then we rode the carousel several times. It takes me two or three times to get the hang of the waving, so it’s good that we get to ride multiple times. After our visit to the zoo and an almost-lost moment in a bad part of Cincinnati, we went to meet Daddy and Dan at the Silver Spring House for dinner. Two big nights in a row, what could come next?!

On Wednesday, we got up early and went to Toledo for the Connor-family Christmas celebration. I love Grandma and Papa Larry’s house! This year was the best ever. Partly because it’s the first year that I understood what in the world was going on.

The fun began after my nap on Wednesday. We went to the Christmas display, just like we did last year. Santa was there, and I did go up to him, but I only whispered my Christmas request (a kitchen!) and I only stood next to him, not on his lap. This year I rode in the first train car and rang the bell. Actually, I started off strong with the bell, but after the first lap, there was much to do with the looking around and waving at my parents who kept moving to different places. Who can keep track of that? After the train, I got my face painted with a snowman. I was very serious and still while she was painting my face, I knew it was a masterpiece in progress. There were two bouncing areas, and I really wanted to go in the one for the big kids. For obvious reasons to my parents but not to me, they did not let me go in there. The little kid play area was no less treacherous, though, as I was bouncing and bouncing and bouncing, fell down and some other two-year old fell on me! I was not hurt but was not thrilled about it. Daddy made me get out and I cried so hard that my tears erased my snowman painting on my face. A nice lady did make me an elephant balloon figure. Luckily, I could not really tell what it was to begin with, because it burst within 5 minutes and after I tried to eat it, Daddy threw it away. It was a fun time, really.

That night, Mommy and Grandma went to church with Cindy, Michael, Anna, Chloe and Christian. They said it was a wonderful service and enjoyed it very much. I stayed home with Daddy and Papa Larry. This was all fine, except that I did not want to go to sleep. I was still not settled when Mommy came to bed at 9 pm, so she decided to start the evening on the couch in the room outside ours in the basement. She was so tired that she did not hear Daddy come down and slept on the couch the whole night long!
