I am getting used to the fish swimming over my head at the Newport Acquarium. Mommy, Daddy and I went again on the morning of New Year’s Eve. We even got there in time for the “penguin walk” which was not that interesting to me because I could barely see it and I did not quite understand why the penquins were in a covered wagon versus in the water like I usually see them. Daddy is not too much into ceremonies, so we did not watch the presentation after the “parade” and just headed downstairs to the fish exhibits. I mainly wanted Mommy to put her hand in the shark tank (this is allowed, don’t worry), but I did enjoy the sand, the frogs and the penguins who were in their right place at the end of the tour.
Mommy, Daddy and I celebrated New Year’s Eve together this year. Well, you know what I mean, this yea rand last year technically. I was supposed to spend it with Nana but she got sick so we took a raincheck. I don’t know what a raincheck is, but based on the fact that I did not see Nana that night, I figured that it meant “for later.” Anyway, Mommy and Daddy made a nice dinner and drank the champagne at dinner instead of “for later” because they don’t’ stay up that late.
