About Me

My name is Abigail Elizabeth Connor, otherwise known as "Little Miss Sunshine." I was born on July 10, 2007 at 1:42 pm. Tuesday, December 29, 2009

The week after Christmas can be called the “week of fun.” I played with my mommy and daddy and got to enjoy many activities that a girl usually doesn’t get to do on school days.

On Tuesday, December 29, 2009 it was our friend Teresa’s birthday (we won’t tell which one but Mommy and she have been friends for almost 17 years). Anyway, we got up early, went and picked up Kristy, Colin and Patrick and headed to a really cool place in Columbus called COSI. This is a place that Mommy used to go to when she was a Girl Scout and it was really neat. Anna, Teresa, Mommy and I played in the younger-kid section while Kristy took Colin and Patrick to the bigger kid section. We had such a good time running around and around. This place reminded me of the Cincinnati Museum Center that we went to back in August. After we played for awhile, Mommy brought in lunches (of course, like good Girl Scouts, they had lunches all prepared). We ate in a big, open section with life-sized chess and Chinese checkers games. Patrick built a race car and raced it down the track. He was having so much fun he almost missed the lunch break! Don’t worry, they would give him lunch.

We left COSI around noon, which you know is dangerously close to my nap time. We went to Teresa and Anna’s house instead of going home. Mommy knew that the day was going to be an experiment because I am not always really big on napping at other people’s houses, especially when there are fun things going on. She was almost right, because I rested for awhile, but I really did not sleep. I slept in Marin’s bed, which was all fine and good for me, because she is a little baby so the crib mattress was really high, and they had mobiles for me to play with. I am not sure how long I really slept, but after that little rest, I was ready for the day.
There was snow in Columbus even though there was not snow at our house. Mommy and Kristy had brought our snow outfits (again, good Girl Scouts), so after what seemed like ten hours of getting ready, we went outside! Mommy brought my sled and Anna had her sled, so we went to the open field behind Teresa’s house and pulled the sleds back and forth. Let me rephrase that. I sat in the sled and demanded that whoever happened to be pulling the sled at the time run as fast as possible from one end of the field to the other. Even though Mommy, Kristy and Teresa were exhausted, we played and played and played.

After our fun time in the snow, we went inside for hot chocolate with marshmallows in the glasses. I am okay with the drink but I really like the marshmallows. Anna has a really cool playroom, so after we played in there for awhile, I got to help Anna decorate the cake for Teresa. Anna’s daddy, Chris, is really fun and nice and let us help even though we kinda made a mess of it. Can you picture having two 2-year olds decorating a cake?

I was not sure when the fun would end, and it was not through yet! We ordered pizza and had dinner at their house too. Even though Anna and I don’t really interact with each other, I sure do enjoy being with her. I know that Mommy is excited that we will grow up knowing each other. We left that night feeling so good that we got to spend a full day with Teresa on her birthday!
