Daddy’s birthday was fun. Mama took Daddy to lunch at BD’s, where Daddy ate his body weight in food and felt full the rest of the day. That night I celebrated with him, giving him a cool polo shirt from the place in North Carolina that he scored his best round of golf ever. He was very happy, just wished it was warm so he could get out and wear his new shirt.
Grandma and Papa Larry came right after Daddy’s birthday for our annual cookie-making day. Nana and Aunt Jeannie came over too, of course. Aunt Cin-Day, Anna, Chloe, Aunt Patty and Morgan could not come, we hope they can next year! And Carmella is very busy on Saturdays so we will have to find a way to include her too. We started on Friday night this year, as Grandma, Papa Larry and I made Oreo truffles with Mama. They are delicious! Papa Larry is fun to bake with because he believes in us all trying the product as it comes off the assembly line. I have quite the skill for rolling truffles! On Saturday, we started early and baked all day. Well, I did take my nap but I was helping when I was up. I am quite the cookie decorator, if I don’t say so myself.
