Elmo Live! October 30, 2010

I forgot to mention that on Saturday before Halloween we went to see Sesame Street Live. This is one of the things that I said “can we do this some day?” earlier in the fall, so Mama got us tickets. I, though, am not a big fan of people with masks on their faces, so in reality, “some day” meant much further in the future than Mama understood. We made the trek to Dayton to a place called Hara Arena, which I guess was a very cool arena at one point and now the location for the local hockey team. Both facts were clear with the pictures of the Beattles and Rolling Stones on the wall and the freezing temperatures on the floor. Yes, there was merely a sheet of plywood between us and the ice. Daddy even went to the car to get a blanket. This was not the biggest of my worries, though, because as soon as the characters came out, I started shaking and told Mama and Daddy that I wanted to go home. Daddy said that it would be okay and while I was not completely thrilled about it, I stayed the whole time. I even went close to the stage (clutching Mama’s neck) during the intermission.
