My first recital - December 17, 2010

I take “Webby Dance” at school on Wednesdays. Mama and Daddy are not sure if I am getting anything out of it, but I like the outfit and going with the girls to the dance room, so for now I am sticking with it. As part of the holiday recital, where all of the different classes sang songs, I also did a dance routine with my dance class. Daddy attended the morning session and Mama attended the afternoon session. We had been practicing the songs and dances for two months before the recital, so there was ample opportunity for me to be prepared. I love to sing and had been singing the songs around the house, so Mama and Daddy figured that I would be ready. But there is the whole idea of people watching me that I had not gone through before. In the morning recital, I did stand there and paid attention, I just was not so much into singing. In the afternoon recital, I sang a bit too. For the dance, I did a twirl and made everyone laugh before the dance started. Then when we started the official dance, I was not so much into it. At least I didn’t run off the stage crying!

Kristy, Teresa, Colin, Patrick, Anna and Marin came over that night after my recital. It was fun to have my friends over to play! We did crafts and ate pizza too. I miss seeing Kristy, Colin and Patrick like I used to when I was a little girl.
