Mama was going on another business trip. I wanted to go with her again. This time she was going to a place called Las Vegas. I don’t know where this is but she said that we could look it up on the map. Before she went, she and I went shopping. I got to pick out some clothes as Target and try them on in the dressing room. Did you remember long enough to know that I love to try on clothes in the dressing room? Mama let me tell the nice lady working at the desk how many items I had (I counted and everything) and I carried the number card with me. I also gave her the one item that did not fit and the card back to the same nice lady. Mama wants me to be prepared for the world, doesn’t she? I feel like a big girl when I go shopping with Mama.
After my nap, we went shopping to get Mama some “big girl” clothes at the mall. We don’t often go the mall, so it was a pretty fun adventure for me. I love the fun (huge, clunky) carts at stores, and at the mall, they had an extra special one that looked like a car. I really, really wanted to ride in that car! I was a very good girl in the “maternity” store and Mama was on the hunt for something that was on the other side of the mall, so we got one. Mama thinks that they are a racket (whatever that means) because they cost $5, then if you return it, you are supposed to get $1 back. Of course, the parking spot for the cars are on one of the mall and when the $1 did not come out, Mama called security, who transferred her to customer service, who said that she would have to walk to the other side of the mall to get the $1. Do you know what we did? Tromped to the other side of the mall to get the $1. This was not about money, it was about holding people accountable. Mama was nice to the representative, but said that the whole point of the car is to avoid carrying a small child to the other side of the mall. While I was riding in the car, though, I was a very good girl and had a wonderful time! We drove all around, even into the Lego store, one of Finian’s favorite stores. I didn’t get out one time and held my baby with me safely the entire ride.
